Surveys are required to help us understand more about the conditions of the planned access route to the Longfield Solar Farm site. We are aiming to carry out these surveys over a period of 21 days, with work currently planned to start from 24 June 2024.

To carry out these works safely, some parts of the road network need to be temporarily closed to through traffic during working hours (8am and 5pm) on the following dates:

  • 24 June – 8 July: Closure of Wheeler’s Hill between the junction with Wheelers Farm Roundabout and junction with Cranham Road (Permit number: EP02231010884).
  • 9 July – 15 July: Closure of Cranham Road between its junction with Wheelers Hill and its junction with Domsey Lane (Permit number: EP02231010883).
  • 9 July – 15 July: Closure of Cranham Road between its junction with Domsey Lane to its junction with Waltham Road (Permit number: EP02231010886).
  • 16 July – 23 July: Closure of Boreham Road between Russell Green House and Russell Green Bungalow (Permit number: EP02231010885).

Access will be maintained for residents, emergency service vehicles and pedestrians at all times during this period. Roads will be reopened outside of working hours.

An interactive map showing the location of the planned closures and alternative routing can be viewed at https://one.network/public using the permit numbers above.  Temporary road signage will be in place during each closure.

All activity on-site is being carried out in line with the requirements of the development consent for Longfield. This includes agreeing the details of the activities with your local councils prior to starting on-site.
